Everyday she walks through that door,
Into the big wide world.
She doesn’t say much,
But a quick “I love you.”
As she walks through the town she thinks,
About her family, will they be alright?
And her cat, will it survive this day?
But, when she gets to the old dairy on the corner she stops.
She wonders, “What happened to that gloomy shop?”
And she continues on her way.
But as she gets to those doors, she stops,
Takes a breath and continues,
With what she knows best.
She says hello to all her friends,
And walks through the brown door.
As the bell goes for morning tea,
She heads outside as if she’s sleep walking,
No expression remains on her face,
She sits down with her friends and chats a little.
She looks above and she sees a dark and gloomy sky,
Its going to rain she says.
The bell had rung, she was sitting in class,
Watching the rain fall down and the sky moaning,
And as she remembers,
She’s walking home today.
A tear drops down her face,
She feels unloved and disappointed.
As time goes by she notices its time to go,
As she gets her things into her bag she stops,
And thinks to herself “It can’t be that bad walking in the rain,”
Just as she says that hail starts to fall.
While she’s walking home she falls down and cries,
She screams out “Why, Why me?”
When she gets home,
She calls for her mum,
No answer.
She panics, trying to find her mum.
She goes into the kitchen,
Finds a letter saying:
My darling,
I love you dearly,
That’s why I have chosen to do this,
I have left home,
Please don’t try to find me,
All my love
Mum.
For weeks and weeks she has sleepless nights,
And blames herself for her mother leaving.
So she runs away,
He reports her missing,
There’s a murder involving a girl to her description,
He doesn’t want to identify her body.
No one knows if the girl who went to school is alive or dead.
Emo Girl
She ventures into her room,
After being told off,
With her blood pumping through her veins,
Her heart throbing,
So she starts sobing.
She slams the door,
In disgust, Hoping no one will enter.
She grabs her waredrobe door,
And opens it with all her strength.
She flicks through all her clothes,
With so much hurt inside her,
And finds every piece of clothing thats not black,
And fires it into the bin.
She gets her make-up bag out,
Rumages through it and throws out every bright colour or eyeshadow out, The pink blusher and the pink lip gloss,
Gone.
She walks to her mirror,
Takes her pink lip stick and writes:
I hate you!
Then she gets her black eyeliner,
Smuthers it around her eyes as if she a panda and her panda eyes are fading.
The she falls to the ground,
And looks in the mirror, Still sobing,
And trys to pull a smile.
Doesn't work.
All she feels is hate, rejection and anger.
Now when people see her
They look down their nose at her,
Still feeling all the hate, rejection and anger,
She continues her life under the label of "Emo"
